CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School is a safe place to learn about God, the Bible, and how to apply God’s truth to everyday life. Children deep their understanding of God’s love, strengthen their faith, and build lasting friendships.
Sunday School meets at 9:30 a.m.
We believe worship is for children. We believe kids can connect with God and are capable of understanding and living a deeply authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. We’re aware they probably won’t understand everything that’s said or done in worship, but neither do most adults! We believe families are best when they worship together. So, instead of offering a separate worship experience for children, we encourage families to worship together in the sanctuary.
To help children engage fully in the service, we offer children’s worship booklets and pencils or crayons, whichever is appropriate for the age of the child. This resource helps kids follow along with the flow of the service and keep engaged in age-appropriate ways. Just see a greeter or usher for this wonderful resource.
Sometimes kids fidget and get bored in worship, which can cause parents stress. We want to help minimize this stress and the best way, ironically, to do so, is for parents with small children to sit as near to the front of the sanctuary as possible. Children will be more engaged in worship the closer they are to the action, so to speak.
A safe, professionally staffed nursery is also available, although, infants are also welcome in worship with their parent or guardian.
CHILDREN IN WORSHIP
Kidz Klub is a fun place for children to experience and learn about and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Kids learn Bible Lessons using video and music to help them understand and absorb the message of God’s love.
Kidz Klub is part of Wednesday Nights @ Summit Heights which begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Kidz Klub Room, Room 208.
Our After-School Ministry is for children grades K-8.
On Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. we offer a safe place, homework assistance, recreation, a meal/snack, and much more!
