Dr. Cristian Istrate, Pastor
Rev. Dr. Cristian Istrate is married to Ligia, and they have two children. He is a native of Romania, and his ministry has taken him to many countries to share the Word of God. He strongly believes that a heart regenerated by Jesus will regenerate the world.
He serves as Lead Pastor and Mission Leader, bringing a deep passion for preaching, discipleship, and global mission. With over 15 years of ministry experience, he has faithfully served in both local church settings and international contexts, focusing on church planting, evangelism, and developing leaders who live out their faith with purpose.
Cristian holds a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Preaching and Leadership from Asbury Theological Seminary, a Master’s degree in Biblical Theology from the Greek Catholic University, and has completed other theological studies in Europe.
He has also served as a leader and founder of nonprofit organizations, leading humanitarian efforts to serve refugees, vulnerable children, and communities in need—equipping the Church to live out both the Gospel and compassionate action.
Chris Guelda, Student Ministry Team
Chris grew up at Summit Heights. He served on staff at Loucon, a Christian camp near Leitchfield, Kentucky. His hope is to share the love and passion of Christ to students that he received through SHMC.
Diana Forns, POPs Director
Diana has worked at Summit Heights Parents Out Program for twenty-nine years. She has served as the director for twelve. Diana is the mother of two girls and two grandchildren. She loves spending time with her grandchildren, reading books, and traveling.
