Serving is a great way to get connected with others and make a difference. It also goes a long way in making Summit Heights feel like your church.
HOSPITALITY TEAM
The Hospitality Team serves on Sundays, greeting people and making them feel at home. You can serve at the Welcome Center, as an usher, and helping at special events.
MEDIA TEAM
The Media Team serves on Sundays in our Worship Celebrations and at special services. They run slides for worship, host the live streaming Church Online, operate video cameras, and mix the sound for in-person and online services.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY TEAM
Opportunities to serve in the Children’s Ministry include helping with Kidz Klub and Children’s Choir on Wednesdays, Sunday School or Nursery on Sundays, and special events like Vacation Bible School.
ROOTED: STUDENTS MINISTRY
ROOTED is our ministry with 6th through 12th graders. You can serve on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights. There are also special events opportunities to serve.
MUSIC MINISTRY
Got talent? Serve in our music ministry. You can serve as a vocalist, musician, or helping out with the children’s handbells.
WORSHIP TEAM
Leading worship on Sunday mornings, serving as a Scripture Reader, and serving communion are a few of the ways you can share your time and talents in worship.
TENDER HEARTS TEAM
When a church member is hurting, this team swings into action, sending cards and coordinating care. When someone suffers the death of a loved one, they organize a bereavement meal. This is a vital ministry to those hurting and in grief.
FERN CREEK/HIGHVIEW
UNITED MINISTRIES
Join FCHUM in fighting hunger, preventing homelessness, caring for the elderly, and stabilizing lives. We offer a variety of service opportunities throughout the week.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
We partner with Habitat for Humanity periodically to provide hands-on construction work (no experience necessary). There are also opportunities to serve through their ReStore which provides funding for Habitat.
